“Ukraine Square” has appeared in France today! This is a joint project of our friends from the organization Agir Ensemble Pour l’Ukraine and the city hall of Ville de Chamalières. The symbolic name was given to the central street during an event marking the anniversary of the beginning of the war. Volunteers and city residents gathered on Place Verdun, bringing flowers and lamps, and Mayor Louis Giscard d’Estaing delivered a speech. The citizens wrote their wishes to Ukraine on a canvas, which was painted by French children on the occasion of Ukraine’s Independence Day.
